What happens when a story is told using art? Using a variety of art images and materials, each participant in this unique workshop will create his or her own 3-D narrative. Workshop leaders will guide participants as they create a set of nesting boxes to illustrate their personal journeys. Opportunities will be given to share stories, explore symbols and identify emotions connected to our stories. This workshop has been designed to work well for storytellers, counselors, teachers or anyone interested in art as a therapy. The last hour will focus on a basic orientation to expressive therapy, therapeutic stories and techniques for using this method in the counseling or teaching setting. The workshop will be led by Thomas Freese ATR-BC, LPCC and Whitney Clay, ATR-BC, LPAT.

Cost includes art materials but participants are invited to bring copies of photographs or other collage images to include in their art piece. Workshop is limited to 25 participants.
